100 Days of School

We first had cupcakes to celebrate the day!

Can You Find All The 100's

Making a snack of 100 items. Each student had to pick out 10 pieces of 10 food choices.  (Some pictures pending...my workstudy is sending them to me from her phone)

We also continued learning about hibernation today. We discussed that animals eat a lot before hibernation to build up their fat. We used ice cubes to represent the cold weather & crisco to represent the fat animals have on their bodies. We felt the ice cubes to make sure they were super cold. Then we dropped them into a bag & covered the icecube with lard. Finally the kids touched the icecube through the lard & discovered they couldn't feel any coldness!

We wrapped up the day with eating our 100 pieces snack!
