Dr. Seuss - Read Across America

We have done quiet a few activities this week already. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of those, but I did today! Yay me!

Today was Read Across America and Mr. Steve read to our lovely class. He is a grandfather to boy in our room. He drove all the way from Tuscaloosa just to read to his grandson's class. He also brought us some yummy green cupcakes to go with Green Eggs and Ham Day & even wore his green shirt! He was able to read TWO books to us today. Of course we had to have him read Green Eggs & Ham... complete with popups! He also read Horton Hears a Who. Thanks Mr. Steve for taking the time to visit our room! We appreciate it more than you know.

Monday - Cat in the Hat Day (Hat Day)

Tuesday - One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (wear red or blue)

Wednesday - Green Eggs and Ham (wear green)

Thursday - Fox in Socks Day (wear crazy socks)

Friday - I Can Read With My Eyes Shut (dress as your favorite book character)

The cupcakes were sooooo delicious & fresh!

Before we started the day, I had a little question...

I also made about 2 dozen green eggs the kids had to match based off rhyming words.

Then we had a photo op...

Math Station Rotation... This has absolutely nothing to do with Read Across America Day, but I thought I would share. We did math a little different today and I'm pretty much in love with it. We shall see how long this last...ha!
