Patterns

Today we discussed patterns. We are also discussing CLOTHES (our week unit).

Clothes have patterns on them! We discussed stripes, polk-a-dots, stitching, etc. For red table time, they came up one at a time and did patterns by color with paper t-shirts. We do patterns each morning during circle time and October's pattern was "ginormous"http://eemoticons.net  So some of the kiddos wanted more than just an AB pattern & went for that larger pattern. Guess I need to begin teaching that those are called ABC/ABCD patterns! These little stinkers are smart!!

So I made an unscheduled stop by a shopping center coming back from Auburn. I saw a Michaels and found a cute felt board cut outs. Charlie was my first to play with them. It consist of little pilgrims (boy & girl) a turkey, pumpkins, fences, a house, a sun, clouds, & a mountain.
