Community Helpers

Today we had the Livingston Police come by for a visit and explain their role in our community.

They allowed us to talk on their walkie-talkies and we heard our voice come through the car!

We watched all the different lights that are on their car. They can turn on just the top lights or both top and tail lights. They can also turn the top lights into directional lights in case of road work.

This light was telling drivers to merge left.

During lesson time we discussed all the different community helpers in restaurants. We discussed chefs, bakers, waiters/waitresses/servers, managers, and owners. We then began making our own menu for our classroom restaurant/bakery. We looked through old magazines for food to cut out. Then we glued those pictures down on our "menus."
