This morning we had a special snack. We discussed the blend /ch/ using Cheerios and Chex cereals to make a special Chex mix. We discussed how important it is to follow a recipe. Our recipe called for 1/2 cup each of Cheerios, Corn Chex, Raisins, and pretzels. After we put all our ingredients into our bags, we shook, shook, shook to mix all the ingredients together.

After we had our snack, we went into our room and made our recipe card. We used our environmental print to help make the card. I wrote what the students said and they helped glued on the print.
During our limited centers, we had a letter hunt through magazines. They cut out letter U's and pasted onto the Uu poster. We also used wet chalk to draw buildings in the Art Center and we wrote about letter U in our journals today.
