Geoboards, Tangrams, Taco Tuesday, Frozen Pipes, Leprechaun Hats

A few snapchats of us doing geoboards to makes shapes and tangrams to practice our shapes.

We had Taco Tuesday during our Fiesta themed Book Fair. We asked parents to come eat lunch with us and shop our book fair. Definitely a success. :)

We have been studying pipes. We wanted to know the difference frozen pipes and regular pipes. We filled a styrofoam cup with water, used a straw (pipe) to suck water through. We discovered it works just fine. Then we put our pipes in freezing weather (aka the freezer) and left in the cold all day. When we took our cups from the freezer and tried to suck the frozen water out, we discovered it was impossible. We also discovered that our cups had busted on the bottom. After the water began to thaw , we saw we would have leaks if this happened in our home!!

 Frozen water.

We needed to decorate our room for March. So we are making rainbow leprechaun hats to hang for the ceiling.

Pinata Fun

Ms. Kims class won the most raised money at the book fair. Her class was able to wrap Ms. Annie as a pinata.
Well we decided to let the other classes in on the fun for just a bit.

What fun is a pinata if you dont get candy! So our pinata threw us some candy and goodies!!

We also have been letting the kindergartens in our room before lunch time to help us with Math games.

Dental Hygiene

We asked a local dentist office to share dental health tips with us. We had their dental hygienist visit us to read a book, let us brush some huge play teeth, and look at a child xray. Then we got an awesome goodie bag full of dental health supplies.
