All About Me

Hey there! I'm Mrs. Vaughan. I've had this blog for many years and I hope it brings you the joy that it has to past families. I hope to use this blog to share with you just some of the things we do here at Westside Elementary. Don't forget to become a member and sign up for email updates. Library

Today in library we read The Apple Pie Tree. For our activity, we cut open an apple to reveal the star shape patter that the seeds make inside. Then we stamped our apples in paint and stamped onto our poem.

Apple Star
There is a star inside an
apple!
It’s a miracle indeed,
That this sweet and juicy
apple
Was once a tiny seed!

We had a few extra minutes left, so we decided to tear brown, green, and red paper and glue the pieces into an apple tree shape.
