Monday's Snapshot

On Monday's we always practice learning the correct formations of The Letter Of The Week. This week will be Gg.

We have began our Clothing Unit. We read the book Caps for Sale and Rebecca brought by some of her clothes to share with us. :)

We had a visitor to read to us while we ate snack.

 Library Time

We learned about hats today. We read a book about hats, discussed our favorite hat to wear, and then began decorating a paper hat of our own!

My BEAUTIFUL Halloween wreath that Nanna (Rebecca's grandmother) brought me. I LOVE it.

Friday Snapshots

Did you know that ants have 2 very large eyes that they can't hardly even see from?!? Friday we pretended we were ants and had to smell to find food. We used our noses, OF COURSE, but ants do not have noses or ears either! We had so much fun being blindfolded. We smelled coffee, lemon slices, orange slices, and apple slices. We all did pretty well at smelling the food correctly!

For lesson time, we did our Clifford Scholastic Weekly Reader. We learned about the different colors apples can be, what all animals eat apples, and that an apple seed is actually called a pip.

We wrapped up our Egyptian themed Book Fair. Ms. Kim's class raised the most money and was able to wrapped Ms. Annie like a mummy. But we all decided that Ms. Kim's class needed a little help, so each class had a turn turning Ms. Annie into a mummy. Finally, the work studies had their turn and did a pretty awesome in finishing up the job!

This cutie pie crawled up in my lap and said, "hey, I wanna sit with you."

Finally, we had our afternoon snack. Since we had been learning all about ANTS, we had a special snack of "ants on a log". Because of peanut allergies, we used pimento cheese instead ...and it was AWESOME! We decided to go outside and snack in picnic style just like ants love. :P
