So it ended up being a pretty big deal to the students that I chose brown paint today. EVERY ONE of them said, "Brown???" with the look of :/  ...haha!

January 30

Well... it sure was an ugly, nasty day!! Slowly, but surely we had our friends arrive to school! Somehow we managed to get a lesson in today and this is what we did...

Question of the Day

Mighty Minute

Dinky Doo

To the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we demonstrated phonological awareness by repeating nonsense words that started with letters of the alphabet.
EX:      Dinky, dinky, dinky doo
            finky, finky, finky foo
              Ginky, ginky, ginky goo

To keep with learning about clothes, we danced to music with scarves & handkerchiefs and ATTEMPTED to keep to the beat!

Blue & Yellow!

And we even got in some geoboards to practice shapes.

Jan. 25 - School Life

Today we talked about clothes with pockets and how you could "mend" clothes. We read A Pocket for Corduroy  and watched the eBook Wash and Dry by Trish Holland.

We also learned about rhyming today for our Mighty Minute. Here is the poem we recited:

Riddle Dee Dee, Riddle Dee Dee
Can you make a rhyme with me?
I say (ball), you say (fall).

We then made new words to put into the poem to make new rhyming words!

Our question of the day:

Do you have pockets on your clothes today.

Later, the Chinese Students came by for a visit and we were able to play with them on the playground.
