Downtown Field Trip

Before we could take our field trip downtown, we had to write letters to Santa Claus!! We even addressed the letters ourselves. We couldn't wait to head to the post office to mail them to the North Pole!!!!!!

Our first stop was The Studio. We painted Christmas trees with Ms. Shelia Hull's guidance. We had soooo much fun.

Next stop was the Post Office! We were ready to mail our letters, but first we took a tour inside the post office!

This is the Post Mistress that will be delivering our letters to Santa!

Ms. Kelly and the Post Mistress is about to begin the tour!

Our first stop is the Stamp Safe! Who knew you had to lock up the stamps every night!!

The key room. All the keys to the mailboxes.

This is the where all the mail gets sorted according to the 3 routes.

We were shown the P.O. boxes from the inside. As we were looking around, we heard someone check their mail...we wondered if it could be Santa himself! How exciting!!!

The Post Office workers were so nice! They had gifts to give us!

Finally! Time to mail our Santa Letters.

Then we sang Jingle Bells and Rudolph

Our last stop was China Dragon for lunch! The food was delicious! We would like to give a special thank you to the International Program, Ms. Shelia at The Studio, the Post Office, and China Dragon for our amazing field trip and wonderful experiences. Your time and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated by all of us at the Campus School!
