Last pics

Here are the last pics of some things we did together before I left! As most of you know, I took a job at another school teaching 2nd grade. 

Writing letter Aa

Here we are learning about our sense of smell. Most everyone got 2 out of 3 smells correct. Aubree got all 3 correct! Answers: coffee, choc chip cookies, & crayons.

Sense of Touch & More

We started out the week practice writing our letter A with correct formation... I didn't get a picture of everyone. Gotta get back in the routine of taking pictures again!!

For lesson time we discussed that we use our hands to feel objects. Based off past experiences, we used our sense of touch to describe what we felt. I had to put a blindfold on the little stinkers, because they kept trying to "cheat." ;) We had 4 different buckets.

They used their describing words such as: hard, soft, squishy, toes (<-- that one tickled my funny bone for sure!), balls, and warm & fuzzy. The items were erasers, cotton ball, beads, & craft poms poms.

Then we started our Mosaic art. I wrote their names in glue & the kids had to take their torn paper & place it in the glue using correct letter formation. It was a task for sure, but it was well worth it for the results.  

Friday Afternoon

After a week of learning about Chrysanthemum, feelings, comparing our school to Chester's school, rules of a school, and getting assessments completed...we had a Friday filled of fun centers. We got to free draw, water paint, & technology. 

Be sure to ask your little one about Chrysanthemum, her friends, & how you are to treat others. 

CMA

We had CMA orientation. If you are thinking about enrolling your girl in dance/gymnastics or your boy in tumbling, please come by the school and get a registration form. 

CMA offers a one time deal to the girls with a leotard bundle. It comes with tights, leotard, ballet slippers and a bag. They only offer this at the beginning of the year. 

CMA visits our school once a week for lessons. Based on last years prices, it is $65 a month for girls and $45 for boys.
